Grace is a watershed scientist passionate about addressing water availability challenges through collaborative research to inform watershed management and decision-making. Grace earned a Ph.D. in Water Resources at the University of Idaho in December 2025, where her research focused on understanding how Idaho’s headwater systems are responding to climate change and disturbance, with particular emphasis on the intersection of groundwater, snowmelt, and wildfire. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and GIS from Western Washington University and has extensive field and spatial analysis experience supporting watershed restoration and monitoring across the western U.S. Outside of work, Grace explores Idaho’s amazing water-shaped landscapes by pack-rafting, skiing, hunting, and watercolor painting.

Phil is a hydrogeologist passionate about groundwater modeling and decision support through collaborative research to inform groundwater management. Phil earned a Ph.D. in Water Resources Science at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in September 2025, with research focused on nitrate transport modeling; a particular emphasis on inverse modeling, uncertainty analysis, and multi-objective decision support. Phil also hold a B.S. in Geology from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls and has extensive groundwater modeling experience supporting groundwater management across the Upper Midwest. Outside of work, Phil is an avid dog owner and enjoys hiking and live music.

Steve is a research scientist and data analyst with expertise in water quality. His work ranges from river and lake biogeochemistry to environmental sensors, supported by experience with aqueous lab chemistry and tools for team science, such as GitHub collaboration. He has published more than 40 research articles incorporating water quantity-quality linkages, fluvial transport, environmental data synthesis, time series analysis, remote sensing, and spatial limnology. When asked about himself, Steve simply stated “be water, my friend.”
