The Idaho Water Resources Research Institute (IWRRI) is in the midst of hiring and we have re-posted the Hydrogeology Research Scientist position.

Required Education: PhD in relevant field or MS plus 2 years of experience

Timeline: Applications will be reviewed the week of September 29th.

Work Location: Idaho Falls or Boise, Idaho.  

We invite applications from collaborative and innovative researchers committed to interdisciplinary approaches in water science and management. IWRRI scientists will conduct and coordinate community-identified actionable water research with the opportunity to expand their research agenda by securing extramural competitive grants. Hiring priorities include candidates with expertise in hydrogeology and numerical groundwater flow modeling with interests in co-production of research with a wide range of stakeholders and partners. These positions are housed in IWRRI and are non-tenure track research appointments with no formal teaching responsibilities.    

The Idaho Water Resources Research Institute (IWRRI) is one of the nation’s 54 water research and technology centers. IWRRI conducts and directs research to support the water resource needs of the state of Idaho, the northwest region, and the nation. IWRRI also facilitates and develops innovative education and outreach programs that provide research-generated information to water managers, agency research scientists, and the public at large.
