M3 Works is currently hiring a Computational Geoscientist position. We are a small team (this position will make six people total), focused on snowpack modeling with iSnobal for water resources management. We work in collaboration with the Airborne Snow Observatories, Inc. and the CASM program, and have projects with NRCS, NASA, USACE, state departments of water resources, and other groups.

Candidates with strong experience in energy balance snowpack modeling and Python are ideal. Although there is no field work component of this position, some experience with snow measurement practices and field work are fantastic, as an intuitive understanding of snow is important. We all do combinations of model development, operational snowpack modeling, and presenting and dissemination of model results. While we do quality research with the aim of model improvement, there is also a strong operational focus on the ability to translate the research into actionable results.
