This year’s event will focus on Idaho’s water landscape — and with the 2026 water year shaping up to be one for the record books, we expect this to be a particularly timely and important gathering. The ongoing snow drought across the West raises urgent questions about what happened, what it means for the year ahead, and what it signals for our longer-term water future. We’re sure these themes will permeate many sessions and talks from both the operations and research sides.

The two-day format is new this year and intentional — it will allow for deeper engagement, more meaningful networking, and expanded participation from students and early-career researchers.
