Using Lake Pend Oreille as a test-bed system, this project advances understanding of how operational hydrologic forecasting can be integrated into reservoir management, while improving transparency and public communication around lake operations and decision-making.

The team is analyzing lake level and inflow patterns to better understand how hydroclimate and runoff timing affect lake level management.
