Improves usability of Idaho water-quality data and performs statewide groundwater arsenic trend and gap analysis to support agencies in targeting monitoring and interpreting long-term conditions.

Researchers have worked with agencies and stakeholders to identify priority water quality data needs, improve data access, and build clearer statewide visualizations. Contamination trend analysis is now the main near-term focus. It is expected that establishing a unified, statewide picture of water quality data will directly inform future management, policy, and funding by clearly communicating high-priority research needs to Idaho’s decision-makers.
