Followed by a self-guided paddle.
Learn about sturgeon nose canoe building, aquatic invasive species prevention, native plants, and Cougar Bay restoration. Bring your canoe, kayak, or paddle board if you’d like to join the paddle.

Celebrate and protect Coeur d’Alene Lake! Join the Our Gem Collaborative for a week of engaging events designed to highlight the science, history, and stewardship of this North Idaho treasure.
Whether you’re a local or a visitor, come learn about the efforts to maintain the health of our watershed—from addressing the impacts of historical mining to managing nutrients and invasive species.

Participate in any event for a chance to enter a raffle for a boat rental, to be drawn on Friday, July 17. Entries given for every event attended to increase odds.
About Our Gem
Love Our Lake Week is organized by the Our Gem collaborative, a partnership of scientists, educators, local governments, non-profits, and community leaders, including the Idaho Water Resources Research Institute, the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, the Basin Environmental Improvement Project Commission, the Kootenai Environmental Alliance, and Kootenai County.
