Internship
The Water Policy Internship is an opportunity for an undergraduate student from the University of Idaho to explore scientific and public policy research related to water resources management. The internship is a partnership between the University of Idaho James A. and Louise McClure Center for Public Policy Research and the Idaho Water Resources Research Institute (IWRRI). The Water Policy Intern will gain real-world research experience, a connection to career opportunities related to policy and water research, a better understanding of how policy is made and executed and experience translating research for policy makers and the general public. This opportunity has connected the Water Policy Intern with entities such as the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, Idaho Department of Water Resources, Coeur d’Alene Tribe and local governments. The Water Policy Intern will engage with the McClure Center director and IWRRI director in advance of the internship to determine scope.
